Earth are an American band from Olympia, Washington, known for their pioneering role in drone metal and whose sound also incorporates elements of country, jazz rock and folk. The band's distinctiveness comes from their minimalist stage presence coupled with slow, heavy riffs and hypnotic soundscapes which create a meditative atmosphere.
