Damien Escobar, known as Dame Esco, is an American violinist from Queens, New York, who is known for blending classical training with jazz, pop, R&B, and hip hop. What makes him a notable festival act is his innovative approach to the violin, dispelling the stereotype of it being solely a classical instrument by pairing classical arpeggios with the driving heart of bass.
