The return flight is the decision to make first
The dedicated shuttle operator advises leaving the festival at least five hours before a flight: its estimate allows three hours for the journey and two at the airport. This is the operator's published planning guidance, not a guarantee about traffic or a confirmed 2027 timetable.
Our advice: compare a direct return with a night in Budapest after the festival. Work backwards from check-in, shuttle boarding and packing up camp. Do not use the nominal driving time as your whole transfer allowance.

Arrival: a shuttle ticket is for a departure
The operator's FAQ says tickets are for the booked departure and asks passengers to arrive early at the meeting point. Its page still contains 2026 deadlines. Confirm that the service you buy is for 2027 and save both meeting points before travelling.
Separate the festival's overall published date range from your own travel dates. Decide how many days you can comfortably camp, recover and get home.

Camping: make practical questions part of the decision
A 2024 first-timer described both a difficult isolated camping experience and help from neighbours after moving. The account is a reminder that campsite choice affects the trip as much as stage choice.
Our advice: inspect the route to water and toilets before pitching, agree a recognisable meeting point and decide what valuables you can leave at home. Use the new site map for accessibility and campsite arrangements.

Some participants still reported poor conditions, particularly around busy stages. This is evidence of differing experiences and reported improvement, not proof that every facility was consistently clean.
